A note on Ishmaelite and Edomite error

The issues surrounding the Holy Land are fascinating and we have a proud Catholic crusading history against the error of deism and slavery but it must be approached reconcilliatory as in the Pax Christi Peace Icon.If you study the Icon you will see the reconciliation of Jacob and Esau but the ladder to heaven is behind Jacob not Esau and rightly so. Also you will see the line of Hagar through Ishmael not represented with halo’s as the Ishmaelites and Edomites (through Esau) are not the vessel of righteousness as the line of Jacob is through the 12 tribes.
In Genesis 3:1 the serpent talks of God as ‘Elohim’ ie a distant non interactive ‘deism’ the same as what the Ishmaelite deist beleives.In the rest of the text post-serpent (3:2-3) God is refered to as ‘Yahweh Elohim’ ie Lord God, the root of righteousness.
All that being said we are all children of Abraham and it is a ‘spiritual work of mercy’ to ‘instruct the uninformed’ and ‘be patient with those in error’.
